Autocorrect strikes again

Here is Henry VI‘s wife, who bore her only child today in 1453. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you … Margaret of Banjo!

{illustrated by SHW}

I was checking the MS of a certain novel, and Autocorrect wanted to change Margaret of Anjou to Margaret of Banjo. This amused me, and immediately I thought of George Formby somehow transported to the 15th Century.

Imagine the ‘Greatest Hits’:

I’m leaning on a cresset at the corner of the street (In case a certain little Yorkist comes by.)

When I’m cleaning (stained-glass) windows.

Auntie Maggie’s remedy (no need to change that title!)

King Henry’s flannelette nightshirt.

Turned out nice again!
